Sattu Drink

Ingredients

  • Sattu (roasted gram flour): 2 tbsp
  • Water: 1 cup (cold or room temperature)
  • Jaggery powder or sugar: 1 tsp (adjust to taste)
  • Lemon juice: 1 tsp
  • Black salt: a pinch
  • Roasted cumin powder: a pinch

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, add sattu, jaggery powder or sugar, black salt, and roasted cumin powder.

Gradually pour water into the bowl, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Add lemon juice and mix well.

Serve immediately, garnished with a pinch of roasted cumin powder (optional).

Servings: Serves 1

Notes:

  • For a savory version, replace jaggery with a pinch of salt and add chopped green chilies, coriander leaves, and a dash of black pepper.
  • This drink is highly nutritious and hydrating, perfect for summers.
  • Adjust water quantity for a thinner or thicker consistency.
